Background

My name is Alex Rakic and I work as an Interactive Designer in the New Media Industry. Currenly I work for a local boutique agency called Cowie and Fox as well as managing a bit of freelance too. I began working with graphic design and HTML in 2001 as part of my Information Technology class. Slowly, I started to do more on my own time as I gained interest. During the next few years is when I really began to enjoy it and ultimately decided to pursue it further. In fall of 2005, I enrolled in the Interactive Design Program at Capilano which was intended to prepare me with the essential skills to start a career in the industry. It turned out pretty good.

Less is more. That's my design philosophy. The goal for me is always to create something in great quality as well as keeping it clean and simple and the size of the project never detracts me from this standard. My extreme meticulousness usually forces me work longer on a piece of work, thus giving me the satisfaction of knowing I've done my best. Careful preparation and swift execution is how I roll. I take great pride in all my creations no matter how big or small they may be. Constantly seeking improvemnt in myself, I enjoy listening to others and in return share my ideas and experiences.

Aside from the computer, I'm a guy who is greatly involved with sports whenever possible. My preference of activities are tennis, soccer, basketball, and golf. However, when I'm not doing that, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. For more about me, you will have to meet me.
